• Polish driver comfortably tops FIA ERC Gravel Masters standings with one round to go;
  • Impressive pace of Kajetan and Jarek on punishing Cypriot gravel roads: the Polish crew won 10 out of eleven special stages so far;
  • In FIA ERC Gravel Masters classification Kajetanowicz scored 106 points out of 110 possible on the opening 11 stages;
  • Gravel Master 2014, Ice Master 2015 and Gravel Master 2015: this is the third award for LOTOS Rally Team driver in his second season in FIA ERC.
After securing FIA ERC Ice Master title in Latvia, in February, Kajetan Kajetanowicz clinched his second FIA ERC Gravel Master title in sizzling heat of the Cyprus Rally. LOTOS Rally Team crew was winning one stage after another: on the opening 11 tests Polish driver scored 106 points out of 110 possible. Thanks to this impressive efficiency, Kajto successfully defended his FIA ERC Gravel Master title well before the end of the rally: third out of four which count towards this prestigious classification. After eleven special stages of round 8 of FIA European Rally Championship his advantage in FIA ERC Gravel Masters standings reached 146 points. This is more than there is still up for grabs on the remaining 5 stages of the Cyprus Rally and on nine stages scheduled for the Acropolis Rally. It means that the FIA ERC overall leader claimed the most awards for surface specialists. He is the only competitor with three titles to his name: two Gravel Master titles in 2014-2015 and Ice Master title, won after thrilling display of his skills at the beginning of this season.

FIA ERC Ice, Gravel and Asphalt Masters titles are based on the results on individual special stages. The winner of each test gets 10 points and further points for the next four crews are allocated on 6-4-2-1 basis. Four rallies count towards FIA ERC Gravel Masters: Rallye Açores, Rally Estonia, Cyprus Rally and Acropolis Rally, which takes place on 9-11th October.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz: – It is really hard to catch your breath after completing these stages so frankly speaking this news has not soaked in yet. I find it really difficult to express my feelings but I know for sure that clinching FIA ERC Gravel Master title gives a lot of pleasure! I think of extremely diverse gravel stages which we won in order to achieve this success. Breathtaking roads of Rallye Açores, extremely fast stages in Estonia and punishing gravel tests here in Cyprus come to my mind. During this rally we tried not to think about claiming the FIA Gravel Master award here. The closer you are to your goal, the easier it is to lose your focus and make an error. We managed to stay focused and this is our success in this event. Now, after achieving it, I still do not want to think about it. The time for elation, joy and celebration will come after the end of this long and exhausting season. We have still a lot of steps to make in this rally, including the most important one: which brings us closer to completing the great, ambitious task. This is why we forget about this award and focus on the next corners of the twisty road leading us towards the most important goal.

FIA ERC Gravel Masters standings after SS11 of Cyprus Rally:

2. Craig Breen (Ireland) 154 points
3. Alexey Lukyanuk (Russia) 136 points
