• LOTOS Rally Team crew maintains second place in Rally Estonia after seven special stages;
  • Festival of crazy speed goes on – 127.9 kph is the average speed of Kajetanowicz and Baran on the first 7 special stages 7;
  • Impressive performance of the Polish duo – further top three times in overall standings on two stages;
  • Newcomers from LOTOS Rally Team shine with impressive pace in round six of FIA ERC;
  • Slender gaps between the frontrunners: Kajto and Jarek are just 3.8 behind the leaders.
After setting the fastest time on the final stage of previous loop, Kajetanowicz and Baran do not stop to impress with their pace in Rally Estonia. They finished 9.20-kms Raiga 1 test with second quickest time, losing just one second to the stage winners. The fight on the next test – Ristmae 1, shortened to 20.65 kms – was equally thrilling. The Polish crew finished this stage just 1.5 second behind the winners, with third fastest time. Today the crews still have to run through the final loop of Saturday’s leg, beginning with the longest stage of the rally: 34.91-kms long Saku test. The fight on Saturday ends with a short 1.55-kms Tarmac stage on the streets of Elva.

Rally Estonia is demanding not only for the competitors but also for the rally cars. Today, after the whole day of fight at the highest revs, there is no evening service. The mechanics can take care of the cars tomorrow morning, after one hour drive from Tartu to Otepää.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz: – The gaps between us and our opponents are so small that we can not say if one of the stages is more important than the others. I think that you have to drive very fast on every test, also on extremely long 35-kms stage which awaits us after the service break. We are trying to improve our driving and pace, adjusting the car settings to the next passages of these fast stages. I have to admit that I can not believe how quick we are here. I am just trying to do the best job possible. I am pleased that the whole LOTOS Rally Team is so motivated and focused on our work. I am proud of our performance in our debut in this rally. We came here also to entertain the fans with our driving and this rally is very popular in Estonia, so there are many fans on the stages. We are happy that they are cheering for us. They are generous to the foreigners and support us even when we are beating their favourite crews. This is really cool :-)
