2014 FIA European Rally Championship season concluded in Corsica and after the final round competitors were invited by the organiser to official Prize Giving Ceremony.

Kajetanowicz and Baran finished their first FIA ERC season just behind top three. LOTOS Rally Team crew recorded 41 top three stage times, including 13 stage wins, and scored two podiums in Acropolis and Cyprus rallies. 2014 European Rally Championship title was clinched by Finnish crew, Esapekka Lappi and Janne Ferm. Kajetan Kajetanowicz, four-time Polish Rally Champion, was presented with FIA ERC Gravel Masters award – one of the new prizes in European Championship. This year the promotor of the series introduced three separate classifications, based on results of special stages run on three different types of surface: gravel, tarmac and snow/ice. Kajetanowicz and Baran showed great pace on loose surface and were the quickest crew in gravel rounds of European Championship. They took part in three of four rallies which counted towards this classification and scored 191 points. Robert Kubica won the winter prize (FIA ERC Ice Masters) and Esapekka Lappi set the pace on tarmac (FIA ERC Asphalt Masters).

On top of this the ERC promoter recognised the input of entire LOTOS Rally Team in communication and promotion of participation of Kajetanowicz and Baran in this series. Polish team was honoured with FIA ERC Communicator of the Year Award, which on behalf of the team was received by Ms Jowita Twardowska, Communication and CSR Director of Grupa LOTOS, title partner of the team.

Richard Rodgers, press officer of FIA ERC, said: – LOTOS Rally Team is considered to have been highly successful and active in communication area. We appreciated the presence of professional, engaged and active press officer at every round, as well as regular press releases issued in timely manner and containing all relevant information plus very detailed driver/co-driver quotes. On top of that we noticed the efforts made to get Polish media to attend ERC rounds. Proactive nature of press officer and team manager in providing information on Kajetan Kajetanowicz is also crucial and thanks to their work the driver was accessible for interviews even when things were not going right for the team.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz: – FIA ERC Gravel Masters award and fourth place in such competitive field in European Championship confirm my belief that together with our Partners we develop and proceed in right direction. This prize proves our great pace in this year’s championship counters, not only on gravel, against many experienced and extremely quick rivals, including factory drivers.
I have already thanked the team many times and now I have another reason. This prize is a certain kind of saying thank you to all LOTOS Rally Team members for promotion of European Championship rallies. I know that it will also serve as an incentive to maintain the highest level in the future and at the same time to raise the bar constantly. We are not going to slow down – far from it. Our target is to work at highest possible revs.
